- Where did you grow up? Garland, Texas, just outside of Dallas.
- How did you become a part of JC? After a short search for a church home in the Fall of 2004, my husband and I stumbled across JC. We first tried a local United Methodist Church, which was modeled in the same way as my church back in Garland. I knew when to sit down, stand up, sing, and pray. My husband was less than thrilled with the church and wanted me to look for something a little less traditional. So, I looked in the phone book and a color ad for JC stood out. I told my husband about the church and he was like, "WHAT CULT ARE YOU TAKING ME TO, church groups don’t meet in movie theaters!!" Thank God that he tried it, we have been hooked on JC since day one. At first we started getting involved through small groups, then we both joined ministry teams (for me Kidmo, for my husband, the band). I felt the Lord tugging on me to talk with Mark, the lead pastor March of 2005 about starting a counseling ministry. To my surprise, God had placed this ministry on his heart as well and to make long story short, Journey’s Crossing Counseling was born. I feel so blessed to be a part of this staff and JC!!
